. Dr. Moon has ten years of experience in assay development, drug discovery and cancer research. As one of the first employees of Cytokinetics, she was head of the cell-based assay group and development of novel cellular informatics tools. At Onyx Pharmaceuticals she validated molecular targets in the Ras signaling pathway, and was project manager for the oncolytic virus product program. Dr. Moon received a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Biology from Harvard.
Dr. Hatfield has 15 years of biotechnology development experience in the areas of manufacturing, process development, assay development, pharmacology, toxicology and project management. Dr. Hatfield has managed corporate partnerships, contract manufactures and contract toxicology laboratories. He was project manager for the manufacturing scale-up of the first virotherapy product candidate for Phase III and potential commercialization, working closely with partners at Pfizer and collaborators at Xoma. He led the establishment of a fill/finish line at Evan Vaccine in Speke, UK. Dr. Hatfield previously worked in industry on non-viral gene delivery, fusion proteins and drug delivery. Dr. Hatfield earned his PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology and his M.S. in Biophysics from Penn State University.
Mr. Kirn has over 15 years accounting and finance experience and has held various accounting and finance positions, including Controller, Director of Corporate Accounting, and Director of Finance. He has worked in high tech industries including biotechnology, semiconductor capital equipment manufacturing, internet security and circuit board manufacturing. Positions included Division Controller for Rand McNally’s media division. Mr. Kirn holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance and Operations Research from the University of California, Berkeley.
