Position Description

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development and based in San Francisco, the Bioanalytical Scientist will work with national and international CRO's to develop, validate, and oversee conduct of assays for testing of samples in support of non-clinical and clinical stage projects. This position also has the additional opportunity to participate in design and interpretation of in vitro and animal studies to be used in the evaluation of next-generation product candidates. The position is not a hands-on laboratory position, but candidate should have recent bench experience. The ideal candidate will equally enjoy analysis and execution, be able to manage multiple projects with enthusiasm, and be energized by the development of novel therapeutics.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with off-site research groups and CROs to design, develop, transfer and validate bioanalytical assays.
  • Oversee testing of samples from clinical trials, and subsequently conduct quality check of data and assist in data transfers.
  • Write/review study protocols, validation plans, technical reports, and study reports. Prepare written and numeric summaries for regulatory filings and publications.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • PhD in relevant field with 2-5 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in bioanalytical assay development, assay validation and technical report writing in an industrial setting and familiarity with statistical principles used in the analysis of data
  • .
  • Experience in cancer biology, virology, biologics and with animal models is desirable.
  • Experience working in a GLP or other regulated environment is desirable.
Specialized skills include:
  • Immunoassays
  • Cell-based assays
  • PK and immunogenicity assays for biologics
  • qPCR
  • Microsoft Office suite: Highly skilled in Excel, and proficient in Word, Outlook, Power Point.
  • Other data management skills including the use of Prism, Access, etc. are desirable.
  • Fluency in Korean is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills; this position will interact daily with individuals from other departments, companies and international laboratories.
