Director of Quality Assurance
Position Description:Director of Quality Assurance (QA) is responsible for all activities involving quality assurance and compliance with applicable regulatory and requirements; development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure quality standards in compliance with relevant regulatory and quality guidelines. Director of QA is responsible for managing the group and ensuring that the appropriate systems and resources are available to maintain optimal quality systems.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- •Manage Quality organization within Jennerex
- •Develop Quality systems and strategies
- •Define, draft (as appropriate) and review standard operating procedures for all functional areas
- •Ensure proper relevant personnel are GMP trained
- •Report to VP of RA/QA periodically on progress and needs within the QA organization
- •Bachelor degree in scientific discipline or equivalent experience
- •15 years experience in quality assurance and quality control in pharmaceutical industry
- •At least 5 years in quality assurance overseeing either viral or cellular based production
- •Ability to travel to conduct audits as needed
- •Good working knowledge of GMP/GLP/ICH Guidelines
- •Effective written communication skills and computer skills are required
The Manager must possess the ability to work closely with all disciplines within a small company, displaying innovative thinking, a strong sense of responsibility and accountability, and integrity.
